[git-remote-gcrypt] Longstanding bug

Hey Sean,

Hope you're doing well. I've been using your git-remote-gcrypt project for a while now, and I recently came across a longstanding bug that requires the use of the "--force" flag. I saw this mentioned in the readme file.

I looked for more information about the bug on the mailing list but couldn't find anything. Could you please let me know more about it? I'm curious to learn more and see if I can help out in any way.

By the way, I just wanted to say that I really enjoy using your project. It's an awesome tool, and I appreciate the hard work you've put into it.
