I think this might need a bit more clarification on the time in Coventry.
Something along the lines perhaps of

"Players may place themselves in Coventry by emailing the Speaker,
optionally specifying a date of return.  A Player in Coventry may not
vote.  A Player in Coventry leaves Coventry on the date of return (if
specified), or two days after emailing the Speaker indicating they are
leaving Coventry.  Any player ...
