[Debian-uk] DebConf25: driving over

Hi all,

I’m starting my planning for DebConf25. I’m planning to drive down on the weekend before (4-6 July, TBC but probably Saturday) and return early in the week after (21-23 July, TBC but probably Monday). I’m looking for people who would be interested in either travelling with me and/or sharing accommodation while there.

I’ll be driving from near Hereford (HR2). My preferred journey would take us on the Poole-Cherbourg or Plymouth-Roscoff ferry, though that’s open to suggestion.

In terms of accommodation I’m looking at renting a house fairly close to the venue and driving in and out. It looks like there’s a few Airbnbs within 15 mins drive.

At the moment it’s just me, my family won’t be coming with me, so there’s comfortably 3 seats free in the car. Ideally I’d like to have bookings for the ferry and accommodation before the end of January.

Any takers?
