I've come to the depressing conclusion that it's just not possible to
run a public access wiki these days; wiki.earth.li requires an email
confirmation to create and account, and even once you have one you
need added to the KnownGroup page to be able to actually edit anything.
That doesn't stop thousands of accounts being created - spammers are
obviously too stupid to realise they're not going to be able to do
anything once their registered.

That said I've opened up registrations again for the moment; anyone who
is already on the KnownGroup page can add you to it once you've created
an account. Asking on #debian-uk (OFTC) tends to be a quick way to find
someone to do this for you.
