Hi all,

We've just advertised a position for a Unix Systems Administrator
(specifically Debian-based) in York.  The position is at York
NeuroImaging Centre, Department of Psychology, University of York.

The bumpf:

York NeuroImaging Centre (YNiC) provides a high quality research
environment for a diverse user community of over 300 staff, students and
external collaborators. We are seeking a committed IT professional with
comprehensive understanding and experience of networking and Unix server
administration and practice to maintain and develop the Centre's mainly
Debian GNU/Linux-based network (both server and desktop).

You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent with demonstrable
experience of Linux or other Unix-network management and excellent
technical skills. You will possess excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
with staff at all levels in the organisation. You will be required to
operate as a successful and contributing member of a team working to
extremely high standards and committed to achieving deadlines and
customer satisfaction.  The post is available for a period of 2 years.

Salary is Grade 7 University: £35,646 - £43,840 per annum.
