Assuming you mean SPF here, probably the simplest method is to use something like spfmilter with postfix's relatively new milter interface. That being said .. > I've noticed that the number of spam messages sent using forged email=20 > addresses from my own domain has been increasing, and I'm keen to stamp= =20 > it out. SPF won't actually do all that much for you with this sort of problem. If you actually control all outbound mail for your domain, you probably want something like BATV, which is designed to eliminate DSNs resulting =66rom forged mail. CN40 or FR1. Maybe a sweatshirt (012M or H804). Sometimes it would also be really nice to have a couple of *smart* shirts (i.e. ones I can wear with a tie to work seeing as I'm forced into wearing a tie). Simple white, nice red swirl on the pocket. (PR200) - EasyCare is good too. Actually, thinking of ties, did we ever have a Debian tie? (Nothing in the catalogue, sadly.) I looked at the "outerwear" section too as we may need something like that in Mar Del Plata seeing as it will be winter there. Not sure if there would be a demand for those - does anyone else fancy a waterproof Debian jacket? If only one of those, the long-sleeved shirt would be my preference. --=20 Neil Williams =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/ --=-+a44cv2e2bIj1Wu7EggV Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBICZmOiAEJSii8s+MRAs4QAJ90Gmm5stqSMXUEUVQW/aQYoObc5wCdHQU6 rd4Ty46GqeSN+7NIdWWp4q8= =KPkS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-+a44cv2e2bIj1Wu7EggV-- From luk at debian.org Sat Apr 19 06:21:47 2008 From: luk at debian.org (Luk Claes) Date: Sat, 19 Apr 2008 07:21:47 +0200 Subject: [Debian-uk] T-shirt time again - would anybody like custom ones made up? There's essentially nothing you can do about this. Open relays and hordes of worm infected Windows machines means your domain can be used by anyone who wishes to do so to send email. The only nearly-a-fix would be SPF, except SPF requires the co-operation of everyone you send email to. i.e. they'll need to configure their SMTP server(s) to check SPF records. Given many mail administrators, myself included, consider SPF to be flawed, you'll find the takeup rate comparatively low. -- Martin A.
