The web site is http://www.nationalexpress.co.uk (there are other coach
companies, but that is your best choice). It is best to buy tickets in
advance through the web, but if not feasible you can buy them at
airports too (or usually you can even do so when boarding the bus
itself, but that has to be by cash - no cards).
It is approximately 400 miles from London to Edinburgh. This is a long
drive and long coach trip. Train is faster than coach but more
expensive. Unless you actually want a car in Edinburgh I would not
recommend renting one. Fuel is expensive here, and the trip to and from
Edinburgh the fuel alone will probably cost you in excess of 50 UKP (75?
EUR) - and that is before the cost of the car itself.
