? This is the opposite of the behaviour that I found - OOo picked up
the en_GB locale as a default without any intervention from myself. It
was only when investigating this bug that I even went into
Tools->Options->Language Settings.

Or just change the locale at the login manager. (May need some tweaks
in System->Administration->Login Window in Gnome or the equivalent
under other window managers.)

It could also be related to how the locale is set - some methods
(like .xsession or .bashrc) are incomplete. GnuCash is very sensitive
to these things, I would be interested to know if gnucash picks up
pounds sterling as the default locale currency (without needing to
override it) on systems where this bug apppears in Ooo. (No matter
which currency is set by the user, gnucash still shows the currency
that has been detected as an option.)
