As I promised a few people last night, more details about Debconf4 in
Brazil:

The mailing list is at

Quick summary:

  The 5th annual Debian Conference will be held in Porto Alegre,
  Brazil from May 26th to June 6th.  The week starts off with DebCamp,
  a chance for developers to work together in an less formal setting.
  Debconf will also be participanting in the V Forum Internacional do
  Software Livre, one of the biggest Free Software events in the
  world, from June 3rd to 5th.

So far, it looks like registered DDs will get free accommodation, food
etc. - local sponsors are very keen on Debian it seems. :-) In terms
of getting there, I'm trying to get a quote from various airlines for
a dedicated Debian flight from Europe to take a gang of us over there,
which (should) make things cheaper. Currently typical prices are
~700GBP for a normal return flight from LHR to POA, and it would be
nice to beat that...!

Come on, people! You know you want to go!
