I just had a thought about this, and a quick calculation confirms it: a
16x CD writer needs to be fed data at nearly 20Mbps. So 5 client burners
could barely be fed through a single 100Mbps NIC, even if it's a really
good one. You'd need 2 NICs in the server and either two hubs/switches,
or a single switch with a bisection bandwidth >140Mbps to feed 7 burners
off one server. Even 5 burners (if the other two were in the server)
I would not expect to work in practice off a single 100Mbps NIC.
