Don't got exact reference on specific driver changes right now, cannot
speak of an immediate regression but rather seems that kernels before 6.12
had erroneous behaviour according to

, which references https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203905

Also just saw this
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Backlight#Recent_(2025)_AMD_changes which
addressed the changes for the brightness values post linux 6.15, will have
to install the kernel from backports, check if the proposed patch handles
post linux 6.15 brightness values as intended and report back.
