I haven't found a regression but I'm not presently using ifupdown on
this box and unfortunately, since 1.44.2-2,

Network Manager does not invoke the generic debian interface hooks,
meaning they have to be replicated for different network management
systems with guards against duplication. Which means my nfs entries in
fstab continue to be ignored, so far as I can tell.
