IMHO packages shall not build with -Werror or equivalent.

The package maintainer as well as upstreams can (and possibly should)
enable it on their local builds, to catch more things, but precisely
because the toolchain can and will change, actual buildd builds (and
porter builds of a .dsc from the archive) IMHO must not use it.

In traditional syntax ' is ignored, but in c99 everything between two ' is
handled as character constant.  Therefore you cannot use ' in a preproces-
sing file in c99 mode.	-- Ragge
No faith left in ISO C99, undefined behaviour, etc.
