Bug#1088898: lsb_release not providing correct information in Debian 12

Package: lsb_release
Version: unknown
I wanted to ensure that three Debian 12 servers were all on the same minor
version. I used lsb_relase on all three but it only showed the major
version (12).
$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
Release: 12
Codename: bookworm
Also, lsb_release -v is supposed to show the version of the lsb_release
utility, but doesn't. (This is according to
https://refspecs.linuxfoundation.org/LSB_3.0.0/LSB-PDA/LSB-PDA/lsbrelease.html
)
$ lsb_release -v
No LSB modules are available.
I suggest that lsb_release -r and lsb_release -a should display the major
and minor version, and that lsb_release -v should display the version of
the utility.
I'm running several instances of Debian 12, all on Intel 64-bit CPUs.
I eventually was able to obtain the needed information by viewing the
contents of /etc/debian_version.
