Indeed. I don’t want any new stuff (I do occasionally use DJB dæmontools
on the side if needed), I just want to keep using what I’m currently
using in Debian.

(I’m not even a fan of SYSV-style init, but it’s a known beast, much
like GNU autotools, and a common standard.)
