Sorry Thorsten for this confusion and inconvenience.  As you said, it is
a matter of 

  sed -i 's|1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty|1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty --noclear|' /etc/inittab

I guess it is not too annoying apply this to your machines.
