Mark Waller - some biography

I've put this page together to help you work out which Mark Waller I am - there seem to be several of us in circulation. If you have encountered me in the past, hopefully at least one of the points below will jog your memory.

Potted Biography

NB: all places/areas listed below are in the United Kingdom. I'm not going to give any grounds for an argument about whether Cornwall is in England or not :-)

• full name: Mark William Waller
• born 2nd August 1967, in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
• lived in Welwyn, Hertfordshire
• attended Sherrardswood Junior School (at Lockleys House, Welwyn) from 1971 to 1978 (ages 4 - 10)
• in August 1978 (when I was 11), moved to Mawgan, near Helston, Cornwall
• attended Mullion School (Mullion, Cornwall) from 1978 to 1983 (ages 11 - 15)
• then attended Helston School (Helston, Cornwall) from 1983 to 1985 (ages 16 - 17)
• spent my "year off" (1985-6, age 18) at AERE Harwell (as it was then), living at Rush Common House, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
• read Natural Sciences at Churchill College, Cambridge between 1986 and 1989 (ages 19 - 21)
• have lived in Cambridge ever since, mostly earning a living programming computers
